A sequel is much needed!

I've read this book 3 times and now I've listened to it. This is the best sci-fi story I've ever heard. Mr. Paulsen, a sequel will prove to be of high artistic production value. You have die hard fans for Transal Saga.

This book brought back nostalgic feelings of when I read it as a kid. The ET Tarzan of the apes.

one of my favorites from school

really enjoyed this book. it's very well written. I happened upon this book in high school by chance and it easily was one of the most invested I've been with a character in a book. really enjoyed the whole thing period the ending was slightly disappointing but by no means takes away from the book I just wanted more of the story period as for the narrator he wasn't bad just maybe not my cup of tea period instead of used a little more difference in the voices for the characters but that's just me nitpicking. highly recommend.

This book could have fit the CORVID19!

This is an excellent book!!! Any age, I’m 75.
The only thing that is missing, is the character’s
original people, but I’m sure they were there, someplace.
Everyone should read all of Gary Paulsen’s books!!!

Loved this book!

This has always been a personal favorite of mine! It's more relevant now than ever. And quite interesting to hear through someone else's voice.

Survival of the Fittest

I read this when I was a kid. Back then (and now even) I only liked fantasy and paranormal books. Anything to do with realistic survival put me off of a book immediately. But then I accidentally got the audiobook of this novel. Mark is quickly sent to this strange new world where he must learn more about the land he must survive on, the people he can interact with, and the politics that rule different areas. I was smitten with this book and re-listened to it recently. I was able to gain a better appreciation not only for the book itself, but for the writer, Gary Paulsen, who did his research on the composition of "Transall Saga." Maybe that's why I fell in love with this book. Everything in this "fantasy/science fiction" world feel real and believable. I'd recommend this book to those who like fantasy, and want an introduction to science fiction/survival novels.
