I got the dreaded phone call, the one every baseball player hopes and prays never comes. I was traded - yeah, that phone call - traded from my longtime team of over 10 years to not just any team...to my childhood rivals, the Chicago Rebels.

I was completely and utterly screwed, right? Wrong. The trade was the least of my concerns. I met a girl, Natalie. She was perfect, but I swore I would never get involved with anyone during the season. It was too complicated. But can you believe I had zero restraint when it came to this girl? I couldn't get her out of my head, and the more I talked to her the more I realized I needed her in my life.

So what's the problem? Why am I screwed? Because, Natalie, the girl I can't stop crushing on, yeah...she's married.... At least, that's what I was told....

We finally get Cory Potter's story!
I really enjoyed this book by Meghan Quinn, I've been waiting for it's release and was not disappointed.
I LOVED the characters especially Cory F*N Potter, the narration and story was five stars for me.

A cute romance, easy to listen to while driving. The voice performances were good (dual audio) and plot was interesting with the right amount of tension and spice. Love a good HEA!

This was a great read. So enjoyed the journey of these two coming together. Loved that past characters played a part in them getting together.
Narration was amazing.

Such an amazing listen. I love this group of friends so hard!

Cory was—for the most part—a decent guy. Considerate, kind, funny, charming, and caring.

I loved seeing more of Natalie. The similarities with Jason, her kindness, her vulnerability, her sense of humour. It was all fantastic.

Together, they were electric.
Completely awkward, seriously adorable, a whole lot of spark.

Considering the circumstances, it was a bit of a "slow burn to inferno" situation. I mean, the attraction was there from the beginning, they just needed to sort some stuff before they could get there.

I got really frustrated by all the media and fan issues— it seemed a bit over the top and my heart was breaking for Cory.

It was nice to get more face time with Knox, Emery, Carson, Milly, and Dottie But, the standing ovation, once again, goes to Jason Orson because... holy mother of god, that man is so extra sometimes - I just can't handle it.

King Cory

Great story funny and well narrated … but it annoyed me how weak and selfish when the chips were down Natalie was when Cory was backed against the wall about to lose his career. Cory was a bit too nice and could have done with being a bit more staunch.
