Lost luggage

What a terrific narrator Emma Gregory is, a lovely gently voice who can do female voices just as well As male and boys. This is a great story about marriage divorce love and children. It’s written so well.

Really really enjoyed

I really really enjoyed this story, kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the majority of it. It’s definitely made it’s way into my top 10 books. However, although not a big deal and not worth taking stars off, I would say there are a few parts throughout which are a little slow but the overall story makes up for that! 10/10 will/would recommend!!

Consequences of a cheating man

Good book to give to a cheating husband showing what destructive actions it leaves to children.

Kind of interesting

I really love mystery novels and this came up as a suggestion. I would not call it a mystery. It’s more the story of a selfish man trying to avoid a midlife crisis. He is surrounded by woman with low self esteem and children who will do whatever they need to to get his attention. It ends way to unbelievably

Amazing.... Couldn't put it down.

Lisa all credit to you!!! Your writing is truly fantastic. Great to read a book symbolising so many human emotions. So glad there was a great lesson at the end. The narrator was Brill. Couldn't believe how she was able to portray each character so convincingly... Best book I've listened to in a long time. Shed a few tears in chapter 46.

Realistic merged family emotions

I have very much enjoyed the novels of LJ in the past, The House We Grew Up In being quite exceptional I felt (particularly the reading of it on audible) This latest offering has some real highlights- the emotions of those involved in merged family scenarios portrayed very well. However without spoilers, I could not have been more disappointed with the weakness (and this felt lack of realism) in the decisions of certain individuals in the latter part of the book... Now off to Melody Browne - can’t be that bad if I’m going to crack through the three in quick succession .....

Very dull with awful narration

I made it to about 3 hours before giving up as by then nothing had happened and the characters were completely unrealistic . the narration is simply awful and you need to have the volume on max to just hear it.

A journey to behold

I loved the various interpretations, the dynamic and persona created by on mans weakness. A beautiful story with endless intrigue. Loved the characters and the narration was beautiful, a joy to listen to.

Another great page turner.

Dark but light in equal measure. Good twists and turns throughout. Amazing narration and comedy value

Perfect read, good story, easy to follow, would definitely recommend, not predictable and didn't work out the ending.

Don’t bother

Story drags on with a dreadful, infuriating ending. Utterly unbelievable and nothing like the blurb suggested. Don’t waste your time

Very deep

Gives a lovely insight from the children’s point of view as to how divorce affects them

I finished it but...

What a selfish man and what a yeuky ending. It was ok until the final few chapters that went on far too long and made me despise the father more and more.
