What an insightful look at nutrition and health

James really nails the topic of autophagy and its importance to health and lifespan. He does such a great job at explaining why diet strategies work and when, and for how long, they can be used to target a planned schedule of states in the body to gain the most benefit from the nutritional intake of each.

too much science

good book for health professionals and those who grasp science. I feel this book left the lay person behind. not enough practical day to day info for me. narrator did a good job.

Should have been called the turn off

Unfortunately this is more a lesson in Evolution than any diet help. He waffles on so much that you are waiting till the end of the book for the point to be made and then it still doesn't happen. Very disappointing.

A well researched book on lifestyle. This is one of the best books I've read on health, fasting and weight loss and maintaining good health. A must read to understand the need for maintaining good health.
