A very hard won HEA, this story has it all. It’s a period drama and includes hidden sexuality, some violence and imprisonment, found family, trust, love and plenty of spice. Great character development and side characters too.

Historical Gay Romance

I’m particularly drawn to historical stories about the early years of Australian settlers and this one is great. The narration is amazing as Joel Leslie navigates the accents of the English, Irish, Australian and Aboriginal characters. Enjoyed every minute of it.

This was a lovely story, but honestly I don't think I would have enjoyed it half as much if it was read by anyone else. Always love Joel's narration, he truly brings the characters to life!
