About this listen

A terrifying series about a young boy training to be an exorcist. Thomas Ward is the seventh son of a seventh son and has been apprenticed to the local Spook. The job is hard, the Spook is distant and many apprentices have failed before Thomas. Somehow Thomas must learn how to exorcise ghosts, contain witches and bind boggarts. But when he is tricked into freeing Mother Malkin, the most evil witch in the County, the horror begins...

Great story and well narrated, but very different from the film Seventh Son.

Looking forward to listening to the next book.

Just a really good story. I listened to it all in one session. I couldn't 'put it down'.

So Good

The narrator for this story was perfectly fit. The character voices brought the feeling of dread, fear, trust and disharmony to life. The novel itself is beautifully written and when you close your eyes, you can see the Spook's world as told by the author. This is a series I read when I was a teen and now listening to it as an adult is fantastic. An absolute recommended novel and series.

Captivating

I enjoyed this book. Light and easy to listen to. The narrator did just enough without overdoing things.

Easy on the ears
