Publisher's Summary

The Soccer Field Is Empty is the story of teen love, steamy romance, friendship, loyalty, understanding, and ancient prejudice. Here is a tale that breaks the stereotypes of the ignorant and peers into the soul of two boys who want what we all want; to love and be loved.

The story of Mark and Taylor, two 16-year-old high school athletes, is a tale of love and happiness torn asunder by a world that understands too late.

wow so dam touching

I wish the people were there for me when I was a teenager. I myself attempted to kill my self 3 different times as a youth an teen an young adult. all because of my being gay an the abuse I was going through. now at 61 I find myself once again feeling as I did then but know that killing myself only hurts the ones you love an love you. not the ones hurting you. Slow start but tragic finish.

This book is very, very good. and it describes of what gay teens go through and even to this day, go through. It's a tragic story, but the story starts off slow and somewhat boring. but as the book goes on, the story gets better and more faster pace. If you can get through the first couple of chapters without either putting it down or going to sleep, you will be very surprised of what message this book is conveying.
