Beautiful story filled with positive messaging about body image, identity, fitting in, fighting for rights and lessons in navigating obstacles of homophobia and racism. A very mellow nudge about accepting yourself as you are despite the odds and what you feel you are obligated to do.

This is a story about a gay teen discovering that he isn't as alone as he thought. It beautifully captures the awesomeness of knowing people have your back, and the darkness of loneliness and depression. This is a story, but it's also the end of a story, and the beginning of a new one. In summary, this book is freaking incredible.
