Critic Reviews

“The magic of C.S. Lewis’s parallel universe never fades.” The Times

“When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness.” C S Lewis

With each book the world of Narnia becomes richer and more pertinent for today. Many Adults would do well to read/listen to these wonderful books or perhaps make a return trip if enjoyed as a child. The levels of truth and wisdom reach greater heights in this volume and is perhaps more eye opening as to the corruption of today’s society and mis-education of our youth by their teachers and institutions. The last chapter is quite indicting and indicates that the problems we have today are not recent anomalies but endemic.

A wonderful 6th instalment in the Narnia Chronicles.

100% recommended, Narnia is my favourite story ever, I was born and raised on theses books. (Horse and his boy is my favourite) but this is definitely up there, the only thing I wish I knew (spoiler alert) is what would have happened if they chose to follow the little rock gnome down intro the real, deep underworld. Ahhh the mystery, we can only imagine…

I have taken a trip back down memory lane revisiting Narnia. This story took awhile to get to the punch, once there I wanted the story to slow down again. Left me wanting more though it didn't start off like that.

Solid performance as always.

The story itself was enjoyable and the characters had realistic toos and fros whilst on their journey.

I don't want to spoil anything else.

Solid performance and great story

this story made a car trip so very much quicker and captured the attentions of my kids (age 9 and 12) as much as me (i won't mention my age, but let's just say i am a substantially older adult)!

great story!
