Publisher's Summary

Now more than ever, fear and uncertainty are becoming staples of daily life. During changing times, it's easy to worry, give up, and let fear paralyze you. However, you have more control than you think you do, and how you handle adversity is your choice - the only choice that matters.

Many successful people and businesses have grown to prominence during even the worst recessions and downturns. These successful people and organizations all shared similar characteristics and took similar actions to thrive while others merely tried to survive. You can do the same.

In The Shark and the Goldfish-, best-selling author Jon Gordon shares an inspiring fable about a goldfish who has always been fed, a nice shark who teaches him to find food, and a wave of change that brings them together. In the process of finding food the shark teaches the goldfish the ultimate lesson - that the difference between a full belly and an empty stomach depends solely on your faith, beliefs, and actions. In the face of adversity, this is a simple fable that reinforces a proven truth - you can't control the events in your life. But you can control how you respond to them. You can allow the waves of change to crush you, or you can learn to ride them to a successful future. Packed with tips and strategies for thriving during tough times, The Shark and the Goldfish will have a lifelong impact.

Amazing book

Worth a read for anyone that need that positively in their life as the story in this book was inspiring to hear how the goldfish overcome it's struggle just looking for food in the ocean.

WOW.!!!!!! PERFECT FOR TODAY. THERE IS PLENTY OF FOOD IN THE OCEAN FOR EVERYONE! THE MIRE WE SHARE THE MORE WE ARE GIVEN?

Life in the Good time or the Hard time is a matter of how we see it. If we SEE it as a Hardship It is, If we Chose to See it as an opportunity it is. We came to this earth knowing we were going to be able to chose and the sooner we remember THAT and chose to Follow our Savior Jesus Christ, who paid the PRICE for us individually the more JOY we will have in OUR lives. Thank you Jon for Referencing The Shark and the Goldfish in your clip on Instagram today. I was so intrigued I had to find it and read it today. I feel very Blessed to have your writings and friendship through social media. Thank You for being a inspiration to many. I will be spreading the word on this great work.

Not impressed.

I seriously struggled with this book. I felt it was rushed, didn't connect with the message or the characters. The ending made screamed cult mentality to me. I was hoping for inspiration like with The Energy Bus, but this one left me hanging.

Not my favorite from Gordon

This book is okay, but not what I expect from Gordon. I much preferred Soup and The Energy Bus.

AMAZING

I wasn’t expecting what I heard in the book- I will most likely listen to this at least once a month if not weekly on some drives I make. Hits home to a lot of our “programmed” thinking. It is also relatable to many areas of life (Walk with God, Social, Career, and mentality) Am I only here to survive or to thrive?

Simple, clear, energising

The Shark and the Goldfish as a simple, lighthearted book with a meaningful message. The goldfish is a character, used to being fed and cared for by others, and the shark is a friendly fish who lives by his wits. The shark trains the goldfish in this short parable and little fish discovers a sense of power, self determination and stability. It's an excellent book for anyone making a living in an uncertain world!
