About this listen

If anyone had told Sadie she'd be homeless and living out of her car at age 25, she'd have laughed in their faces. She'd have laughed even harder if she'd been told her uptight new beauty-parlor boss, Victoria, would steal her heart and stamp all over it. Because Sadie's way smarter than that.

The saying "You don't know what you have until it's gone" has become Victoria's motto ever since Sadie stumbled into her ordered world. Victoria just needs a cleaner. But apparently Sadie has other talents - the sort that can crack open Victoria's heart and shatter her equilibrium. No, Sadie and her chaotic charms absolutely will not do. Victoria's strict no-workplace-relationship rules exist for a reason. But what if Victoria can't live without her? Is it too late to win back the intoxicating young woman?

Contains mature themes.

My first book by this author, and a real bonus finding a Kiwi author and of course the incomparable Cat Gould narrating. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will move on to her next audiobook. This audiobook really did have everything; age gap romance, ice queen, a gutsy younger MC and plenty of angst and romance. Some very steamy scenes!! I am a happy ending girl as well!

Beautiful romance story with a bit of EVERYTHING!

I guess if you're not a kiwi it won't be much of an issue ...
but as a Kiwi - I really dislike terrible attempts at kiwi, and especially maori speech.
It would be far better not to use Australian narrators to do New Zealand characters- they ruin my experience of the story!

Aussie narrators suck at kiwi accents!
