Excellent performance to listen to!

I had never read this classic and find audio books a great way to take them in. This performance was outstanding. The story makes use of dialects and I don't think I could have done it justice -- or maybe even had the patience -- if I were reading the printed book. The narrator was outstanding and the story was very sweet.

My New Favorite

Fell in love with this story of overcoming oneself. Wonderfully rich characters. The narration was good enough to follow and hold my attention. This was a perfect choice for a long car trip. Would be great for occasion really.

Yes! It is magic!

I'm so happy as this is my first time to complete an English book!
I've watch the movies before and finally started to read the original book. And yes! It is a book with full beauty and magic. Especially when reading some descriptions of food and garden, I indeed want to experience personally.Btw, I enjoyed listening to the narrator speaking Yorkshire♪( '▽`)

An absolutely wonderful book

I recommend this lovely book to people of all ages. It belongs to the age of innocence. It will appeal to the child in all of us and give insight into adults and children's behavior. Whatever thoughts we dwell on, good or bad, have a profound influence on our lives.

Fantastic!

This is absolutely one of the best stories I have ever heard! The wonderful narration and exquisite story line took me away to my own secret garden where I experienced emotional highs unlike any I have previously known.

It's Magic

I wasn't sure at first about the voice given to our dear Miss Mary, but the narrator and the story quickly drew me in exactly as it has when I first read The Secret Garden many, many years ago. This book is still one of my favorites, as is the movie, and it unsettled all the familiar, wondrous feelings I had as a little girl dreaming of her own secret garden. If you love the movie, you'll adore the book, and if you've loved the book, you will adore this reading.

Recommended

Recommended narrator, narrated in a very professional way. Thanks Susie Berneis. You added a beautiful touch to the story.
