Publisher's Summary

"Landon Beach is the real deal. And The Sail is a top-notch thriller with suspense to burn!" (Ted Bell, author, New York Times best-selling Alex Hawke series)

As a picturesque and perfect summer arrives in Michigan, a father and son prepare to sail around Lake Superior, one of the largest freshwater lakes in the world. It is a trip three years in the making and filled with planned stops for wreck diving, camping, and hiking. The water is deep, the wind is just right, and the sunsets are sublime. If there was ever a place for Robin and Tristian Norris to "get away from it all", the remote Superior coastline is it.

But when their anchor fouls, Robin not only uncovers a lost hoard of valuable gems, but also discovers a mysterious stowaway aboard their boat. Who is she? And what is she running from?

What started as a paradisaical trip quickly turns into a dangerous game of cat and mouse, and the trio is forced to battle high-tech pirates who'd do anything to reclaim their prize...in a nightmare that tests not only the trio's bond, but their will to survive.

Grab a life jacket and find something or someone to hold on to, it's time to go sailing.

Adventure, Treasure and Drama

Scott Brick, the great narrator who brings to life renowned characters like Jack Ryan, Jack Reacher, Jason Bourne, Isaac Bell, Dirk Pitt and many others from esteemed authors like Clive Cussler, Lee Child, Robert Ludlum or Tom Clancy, takes us sailing in this heart-stopping thriller written by best-selling author Landon Beach.

The Sail follows a terminally ill father and his teenage son as they embark on a journey on their sailboat, but things get complicated fast and a simple cruise becomes a race against time and death itself.

Be sure to have some free time on your hands as once you start listening, you won't be able to stop! Expertly performed, beautifully written, filled with strong characters, The Sail is another unputdownable story from one of my new favorite authors.

Excellent storyline!!!

Wow, another excellent nail-biting novel by Landon Beach and wonderfully narrated by Scott Brick!
The family relationships, the dark world of drugs, and the seedy characters are all intertwined in this thriller, which takes place on Lake Superior. The twists and turns and surprises will keep you listening to Brick well into the night. From the character development to the descriptive scenery, you will be hooked!
Robin’s race against time to develop a closer relationship with his son, Tristan, is a reminder of what’s important in life and relationships. Beach masterfully relates the characters' emotions in a very relatable and touching manner. This is more than just a father and son sailing adventure…it is a journey of bonding, renewal, and survival.
Landon Beach hits it out of the park with this novel full of suspense. He grabs our attention, keeps us on the edge of our seats, and weaves it all expertly together from beginning to end. Brick's narration is frosting on the cake!

Very enjoyable.

The story was engaging and the narration was excellent. I’ve listened to all of Landon Beach’s novels and have enjoyed each one immensely. In this case my only minor complaint was that I wanted more. Thanks Landon! And thank you, Scott Brick, for another first-class performance.

Captivating

A father and his son bond while sailing on Lake Superior. What they encounter on their journey is electrifying. Gems about life and death make this book substantial. The Sail was captivating, thought-provoking, and profound. Scott Brick's narration was excellent.

The Sail

The Sail by Landon Beach is the third book by this author that I have listened to. I loved how he writes the stories around the Great Lakes. The history of some sunken ships was an added plus. He has some great twists, suspense, and intriguing characters. Scott Brick as the narrator is perfect. He adds the right emotions for the book, and brings the characters to life. I highly enjoyed it.

Just Okay

Too many pieces of the puzzle to keep track of. Struggled to get through it. End was good, if not predictable. Narration was good.

Meh

Dry and slow moving. The reading is well done but the story is just boring.

I found this author and I was going to read all,

he had to insert the obligatory evil Nazi poor Jew propaganda and then make fun of people who believe in God as if they were idiots. I won't be reading any more of this guy I only chose it at first because of Scott brick. I guess one can't get a book published unless they throw in the Nazi Jew thing.
