The story reflects the respect the author held/holds for HM the late Queen and for the Royal family.
The way in which he has portrayed his tale and his time in the employ of such famous people, sharing happy memories and displaying total discretion and loyalty is honorable.
I also enjoyed the historical details about those he met on his journey together with the interesting descriptions of all the castles, residences and traditions. Truly amazing.

This is a fascinating and joyful autobiography. And because it is read by the author himself, it has an authenticity to it, that adds to the story. He may not have the polish of a professional voice over performer, but that in no way detracts from this delightful work!

Sweet and adoring. The author loves everything about the royal family, considers himself the luckiest man in the world - it’s sweet. I could have done without the segue into his spiritual connections with the Egyptian monarchy and his convictions that he is watched over by a deity of the same - started to think he was possibly a little unhinged and also - I don’t care

Interesting biography told respectfully. Enjoyed all the funny moments Grant had with the royal family and their guest. If you’re interested in the royal family definitely recommend this book.
