About this listen

Get ready to fall in love with this royally charming rom com — featuring a full cast and an immersive audio soundscape!

Maggie Patel has landed her dream job at The New York Spectator; or, it would be, if she could get a decent story assignment. When a career-making interview finally lands on her desk, it’s with the last person she’d ever want to see again — Edward, the Crown Prince of Bairmorne...and her long-ago friend.

When Maggie was a child, her mother worked as a housemaid at the Royal Palace of Bairmorne, a small European nation, until they were unceremoniously kicked to the curb...amidst a cloud of whispered controversy and palace intrigue. Now, Prince Edward and Maggie are all grown up and they both have jobs to do — but there’s a spark between them they can’t deny. Will that spark lead to something more, and can their attraction withstand public scrutiny, royal duty, and secrets from the past?

A light story in most ways. Lighthearted. Light on plot development. Some funny moments. The music and background noise soundtrack were very off putting. A bit over done really.

What’s with the soundtrack!?!

loved the story, very cute. Narrator performance was excellent but the background sounds were incredibly distracting. Would have preferred it to be just the narrators.

Cute royal rom-com

I loved the entire full cast performance. It’s a great easy listen but it is super cheesy.

Nice easy listen. I don’t usually like the dramatised as there are too many character to keep track of. But the was a solid enjoyable listen. Predictable but great to listen to while relaxing not for bed time

Not bad

3 stars, and it is only 3 because of the talent - they did an amazing job with a lacklustre script.

It took 3 people to write this? Really?

It was completely over produced - did we really need the kissing noises, the noises of someone writing in a notebook? No, we did not.

And what was with the 20+ second musical interludes between each scene? I had to check that my phone hadn't switched to Spotify when the music kept going.

Shane East as Teddy was the standout for me

3rd star is for the talent only

A full bodied short story with everything in it. Such an interesting format with more than one narrator. Reminded me of the older days when stories were read on the radio.

A fantastic twist at the end that I didn’t see coming.

Only downside was the music between scenes was too long & quite weird sometimes. Other than that, full marks everyone.

A Cute Royal Romance with a great twist

The banter and wittiness was excellent. The performance by narrators was superb and has probably ruined me for regular audiobooks…

Fantastic to listen to!
