Spellbinding audio adventure
The Rook by Nana Malone, brought to life by the incomparable Shane East as Westin "Rook" St. James and the brilliantly cast Jae Delane as Nissa Montgomery, is a gripping experience that leaves you enchanted from start to finish. Shane's flawless performance as Rook reaffirms why he's my all-time favourite Brit, and Nana Malone's storytelling prowess combined with the captivating chemistry between the narrators make this audiobook a true gem.
Shane's portrayal of Westin is nothing short of phenomenal, and it's evident that this series was tailor-made for him. While I adored his performance in The Saint, it's in The Rook that I fell head over heels for Westin's character. His charismatic and magnetic voice brings Westin to life, leaving you swooning over this complex, yet utterly charming hero. Shane's collaborations with Nana are pure magic: he’s just so perfectly cast to bring her delicious heroes to life. The intensity with which he portrayed the possessive, dominant Westin, was nothing short of swoon-worthy – this performance is signature brilliant London Boy Shane that I have come to expect and enjoy the most.
