The Rachel Incident is an all-consuming love story. But it's not the one you're expecting. It's unconventional and messy. It's young and foolish. It's about losing and finding yourself. But it is always about love.

When Rachel falls in love with her married professor, Dr Byrne, her best friend James helps her devise a plan to seduce him. But what begins as a harmless crush soon pushes their friendship to its limits. Over the course of a year they will find their lives ever more entwined with the Byrnes' and be faced with impossible choices and a lie that can't be taken back...

Pitch perfect

I inhaled this book in a day. The audio was perfect, the voice of the reader and the author divine. I’m sad to let go of the characters. And hope I will catch up with James one day in New York ❤️

Loved this book

This was a beautifully written book. It was a big warm hug. It was a little slow but I found myself wanting to go back to it everyday. I loved the characters and the narrator’s beautiful Irish accent. Thoroughly enjoyed and sad when it ended

Great story, great narration

Absolutely loved this book! I really enjoy Caroline’s podcast so wanted to give one of her books a go. Am travelling at the moment so downloaded it on audible rather than buying a paperback and am so pleased I did - the narration is excellent. Will be buying more of Carolin’s books and hope to hear more from this narrator.

dreary

Won't bother listening to the end. Who cares about these people? Read well enough. I tried to be more interested than this but feel compelled to be honest. Save your money and your time.

So good EXCEPT FOR

Narration, great. Story, great. The very end was not good because it was left on a cliffhanger. I felt annoyed and had an ‘are you serious’ moment when it finished.

Real and raw, with the gorgeous narration the cherry on top!

Loved this story, each one of the characters, and the beautiful Irish narrator. Can see this as a TV show or mini-series.
