I read this trilogy back to back but I would recommend taking a break between, as the characters start to grate!
I actually liked the third book the most.
Book 1 had a bit too much of Daleina constantly second guessing herself, which became repetitive and annoying - we don’t need more examples of women thinking they are not good enough.
Book 2 and Naelin’s introduction was a lot more compelling.
Book 3 brought everything together nicely and left enough crumbs to entice us to look for more in this World (see The Deepest Blue).

There was some great World building and for the most part, we cared about the characters and wanted to see how things progressed with their stories.

This author is a new fave of mine and her other story The Bone Maker, was my top read of 2025!

Great world building and strong female characters.
