Dive into this fake fiancé romance performed by Joe Arden and Vanessa Edwin!

I don't mean to just blurt it out. "Why, yes I'm engaged!"

But once I say it to a potential client, there's only one logical thing to do -- cast the role of my fake fiancé. Easy enough. As a casting director, my job is to find the most talented players for every part, so I choose dreamy, edgy, sexy, sarcastic Reeve. And I sign him up for one week in the role of mine. It's not as if I'll fall for him in five nights even if we get a little cozy one night at theater. It's not as if I'll want more even after a scorching afternoon in the stacks of the New York Public Library. I can't let myself fall because on Friday at midnight the curtain drops on our fake romance . . .

This is Sutton and Reeve’s romance. The tropes include fake dating and workplace romance.

I liked the descriptions of details in this book but the overarching story was a bit dull for me personally.

ok but not amazing

I'm not sure if it's the over explanation of every little thing... But there were some moments where I went blank because it was boring and I'd have to rewind it back a bit. It wasn't a long story but for some reason took so long to get through. The story wasn't a bad idea... Just not very well written, I believe.

A bit boring.

Interesting enough, short and sweet.
With this one I could tell it was one of Lauren’s first books. I’m not sure what I found a little off but compared to the satisfaction series it just wasn’t on par.

Still a 3 star listen
I do like Lauren, some day I’ll have read her entire collection I’m sure.
Good author.

Loved this story of what started out as pretend and they made into real. Though Sutton often doubted whether Reeve was acting or really into her. Then with some words of wisdom, Reeve went all guns blazing and told Sutton the truth.
Narration was awesome too.

Wow
