Well read, expressed and certainly usable! The teachings inspire and if listened too each morning -perhaps going to work - helps develop the listener. 20 mins each morning for me! Am making it part of my ritual.

Great assessment of stoic philosophy.
I’d highly recommend this book to anyone wanting a better understanding of stoic teachings and their historical context. Narration was excellent though a little dry but all up a great read for anyone with a basic knowledge on the topic wishing to expand their understanding.

Very interesting!
I found this book very fascinating as it made me realise how many of the ideas purported in modern psychology were being talked about in ancient times via stoic philosophy. Stoicism also has a lot in common with Buddhism.

Absolute must read!
After getting through the somewhat dry introduction, the chapters themselves are full of content that you might want to slow down and digest since it references quite a few different books and authors. you get a very practical way of understanding the philosophy and interpretations of it. I now see myself going back to chapters even after I've finished the book. It absolutely has changed the way I view the world.
