First of, this is some excellent history. You learn the reality of this war. You learn about the wins and loses, the crimes, the hurt and the victory. But it can be a bit boring at times as most of the book summarises battles and their results. I'd prefer if those details had been summarised and the lessons of the war had been emphasized instead

Overall though, it's a worthwhile read

Excellent History, but slightly boring
