In the narrator’s dream, Christian follows the advice of Evangelist and leaves the City of Destruction for the Celestial City. His travels include visits to many fascinating places, including the Hill of Difficulty, the Palace Beautiful, the Valley of Humiliation, Vanity Fair, and Doubting Castle.

Along the way, he meets Worldly Wiseman, Goodwill, Hypocrite, Apollyon, Faithful, Mr. Talksalot, Hopeful, Simpleton, and a host of other colorful characters. The journey is fraught with peril and requires every ounce of Christian’s strength and resolve, but he presses on with determination to leave his old life behind and experience eternal life in Christ.

This was a great version of The Pilgrims Progress that was very accessible for our kids to listen to and enjoy. We had a great time as a family listening to this poetic version in our car drives, and it raised lots of questions that we could talk about as a family and reflect on what the Bible has to say about these issues.
Highly recommend!
