It’s a battle of good against evil...
This was a very good addition to the Jessie Hunt series. I’m very interested to see where this series will go next. This is book six. I would suggest listening to this series in order starting with The Perfect Wife. Each book builds on the previous books and much would be lost with the absence of character and relationship development from the other books. This book reaches a crescendo culminating in a resolution of conflicts beginning in the first book. Meanwhile, Jessie now has a sister. I can only imagine where this will go next. Abigail Reno does a great job narrating. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. If you found this review helpful please indicate so. Thank You.

Each sequel gets more graphic in the killings.
I’ve enjoyed the series and pushed through my aversion to the graph violence. That said, this will be the last one for me as each gets more graphic with increasing numbers of sadistic murders than the last. They are just too disturbing. Pierce could write just as compelling thriller with a lot less glee in the killings.

Great Story but Not Narrator
The Jesse Hunt series is great from a story perspective but the editors need to make sure the narrator properly pronounces words. In the first 15 minutes she mispronounces such simple words as detante, emeritus, and cogent. These basic mistakes detract from the credibility of the story.
