Confident businessman Joel Rhodes sees the small California town of Lavender Shores as nothing more than a business opportunity and a final stepping stone to the position he's been working toward his entire life. It was supposed to be just one night in town to close the deal, and sleeping with one of the local men, no matter how gorgeous, meant nothing more than a few hours of fun.

Andrew Kelly is perfectly content with the life he has in his hometown. So much so that the only thing missing is someone to share it with. Going to bed with a tourist was never meant to be the answer to his dreams, just a beautiful distraction. He could get back to looking for Mr. Right the next day.

I love the Unique town of Lavender Shores. Confident Joel strolls in to buy a business but ends up with a lot more then he bargained for. Andrew and Joel are soul mates it's a beautiful connection. Love the secondary characters especially Andrew's dad. Can't wait to listen to the rest of the series

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book. I even listened twice before writing my review and got lost in the story of love unfolding through the telling both times. Even the strongest of characters, both in real life and in the best stories, seek acceptance from people whom logic tells us it will never happen. Learning to choose love over a driving need for acceptance was beautifully explored in this tale, with all the angst I’ve witnessed and experienced around choosing love. Thank you for a quality story and a quality narration. Love is not always straight forward, but it is worth the adventure of loving.
