I liked this story a lot. It kept me listening and was reminiscent of IT mixed with a crime drama. It felt slightly more grounded in reality (even though it had supernatural themes) than a lot of King's stories.

An enjoyable story

Honestly when I first heard the narrator’s voice I thought oh no he sounds so monotonous, I didn’t like him at all but now I cannot imagine anyone else narrating it. Will Patton is great! And of course the King did it again. Just when you think the story is predictable, he twists it to an unexpected angle and blows your mind. I love the connection between Mr. Mercedes and this book. Please keep the series going!

What a fantastic story. Very hard to stop reading. The narrator Will Patton was great too. Oh what a scary idea mr king invented.

Excellent narration by Will Patton, really brought the story alive. Story was fantastic, I couldn’t stop listening, plenty of twists and turns and not predictable at all. Would definitely recommend.

Will Patton makes this one of the most enjoyable audio reads I’ve had. Excellent character voices and pace, his tone is spine chilling in places. King’s writing paints pictures so well, sometimes you feel you can taste or smell his scenes. The scary moments are beautifully done, gave me goose flesh in places. Overall great read, very enjoyable.

Probably my favourite King book to date, thick with atmosphere this is a gripping and twisting turning storyline with complex characters.
