I've been an enthusiastic fan of Prince's work since the mid-80's. with this book, Mayte has put together a truely inspiring story, taking us on the roller coaster ride that was her decade+ long relationship with Prince.
It brought back so many wonderful memories of the Prince concerts & after parties I've attended, including the first time he toured Sydney (with a young Mayte) in the Diamonds and Pearls tour.

I just want to thank Mayte for sharing her heart with us. The world is still grieving the loss of this musical genius and this book helps to salv the wounds left when he left us.

Listening to the audio version, read by Mayte made it alll the more touching.

Mayte gave an exceptional performance of this wonderful story. It really did feel like it was from the heart, and you felt all her emotions, especially during the unfortunate parts of her life, but even the uplifting moment she finally had the child she so badly wanted. I cried a number of times. Thank you for a wonderful book Mayte.

I didn’t know anything about Mayte Garcia before I stumbled upon this book, but being a huge Prince fan I was naturally very intrigued to hear about him from someone so close to him. This isn’t a tell-all filled with torrid revelations, it is not a get-even - this is about Mayte first and foremost and I found the description and reminiscences of her early life almost as interesting and fascinating as the account of her time with Prince. Mayte, you have a beautiful voice, so easy to listen to, and I love the honesty, respect and love for Prince and Amiir that shines through. I highly recommend this book.
