Slow
Play at 1.7 speed. The narration is slow, the story is repetitive, and this makes the experience tedious. Interesting topic, just a slow book.

Heavy, emotionally rewarding, and a great narrator
This book is a really heavy, emotionally charged and powerful narrative about a girl dealing with PTSD and other mental health issues related to events that have happened in her life. At times this book is quite confronting - with explicit descriptions of death scenarios - written in first person perspective, but I think may be unsettling to readers who have similar stories or lives.
As someone who can only empathise with the anxiety aspects of the character, I can't comment on the depiction of the other elements in the novel (particularly whether or not it's an accurate representation, if it's too triggering or is a good balance of adversity and how to overcome it) but I can say I found the book a really rewarding read. I really felt for the main character, and the other characters in the story. I found them all to be very realistic - particularly the relationship between the protagonist and her best friend.
Overall, it's a heart-warming story that you feel you earn, as you navigate her life and all the problems she has to deal with. I would only recommend it with the caveat that it's a heavy book and giving a few content warnings (hyperfixation on death, anxiety and depression).
*Audiobook review*
Wow. This was one of the most emotionally charged and powerful narrations I've experienced in a while. Holly Robinson did a fantastic job of imbuing tone and realistic expressions, especially during non-dialogue scenes in which we're left with the protagonists internal narration where she really starts to come off the rails.
There was a definite challenge in narration because of the constant inner-monologues interrupting scenes, but I think Holly Robinson navigated this deftly and did the book an absolute service. Being a first person narration, I think she really took the time to become the character and choose her style.
Side note, she also did wonderful accents for some of the other characters that had differing backgrounds.
Overall, an impressive narration and one to watch!

Sometimes this stoy was hard to listen to.
Hope kept me listening to this book. The performer gave life to each of the characters. I was able to hearthe desparation in every chapter.
