About this listen

We were part of The United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group (NSWDG), or DEVGRU, a secretive tier-one counter-terrorism and special mission unit. Officially, it was disbanded in 1987. DEVGRU is still administratively supported by Naval Special Warfare Command and operationally commanded by the Joint Special Operations Command.

And we were the tip of the spear. Till we got too old for combat. Then we went private. Yeah, we’re older and slowing down a bit. But we’re still deadly. They took one of our family’s father. Kidnapped him, and that was a bad mistake. We work for money. But this one was personal.

We were going up against the Mexican Cartel, at least a part of it. We were a ragtag handful of vagabond soldiers of fortune. The odds were greatly stacked against us. But some things are worth protecting. Even if we know at the start that we can’t win, it’s still worth the slim chance that we might succeed.

Easy? Hell, no. The easy way wasn't in our plans. It never is. In fact, I don't think it’s even in our vocabulary. But we don’t talk much anyway. Our guns do that for us. We’re mercenaries, professional soldiers hired to serve for a foreign army. But sometimes we are a vengeful wrath attempting the impossible.
