About this listen

Conventional science has long held the position that 'the mind' is merely an illusion, a side effect of electrochemical activity in the physical brain. Now in paperback, Dr Jeffrey Schwartz and Sharon Begley's groundbreaking work, The Mind and the Brain, argues exactly the opposite: that the mind has a life of its own.

Great Insightful book on how the brain works

The book is extremely detailed and elaborates deeply on how the mind works and why it works in a specific way, although at some points it's difficult to follow as it gets very specific on some topics for which I feel you should have a scientific background at least to be able to internalise 100% of it.

Mind Blowing Book with heaps of info

I am amazed as to the amount of research, and information included in this book.Unfortunately I am not even a novice in the field, and much of the content flies over my head. However I am learning so much and I cannot wait to continue listening and learning. Being new to audio books, I have quickly learnt that the Narrator, can easily make or break the book. In this case I have found Arthur Morey narration brilliant, and really easy and pleasant to follow. Highly recommend .

Wonderful book.

I learned and enjoyed it so much, I bought the kindle version as well. Clear and easy to understand even for non-neuroscientists.
