Publisher's Summary

A successful LA artist, Roman Velasco appears to have everything he could possibly want - money, women, fame. Only Grace Moore, his reluctant, newly hired personal assistant, knows how little he truly has.

The demons of Roman's past seem to echo through the halls of his empty mansion and out across his breathtaking Topanga Canyon view. But Grace doesn't know how her boss secretly wrestles with those demons: by tagging buildings as the Bird, a notorious but unidentified graffiti artist - an alter ego that could destroy his career and land him in prison.

Like Roman, Grace is wrestling with ghosts and secrets of her own. After a disastrous marriage threw her life completely off course, she vowed never to let love steal her dreams again. But as she gets to know the enigmatic man behind the reputation, it's as if the jagged pieces of both of their pasts slowly begin to fit together...until something so unexpected happens that it changes the course of their relationship - and both their lives - forever.

Good read

Just a little predictable could have done with some twists or surprises.
A good portrayal of Gods work though

3rd Time Through: One of my ALL TIME Favourites

I have now listened to The Masterpiece at least 3 times through. It's hard to pick my favourite Francine Rivers book when there are mind-blowing and life-altering epics like 'Redeeming Love' and 'The Scarlet Thread' (and many others) to consider. However, The Masterpiece is the most relatable for me personally and I find myself reflecting, healing and hoping as it unfolds. Francine crafts a character that you can feel and see and understand deeply. The journey of Roman and Grace is lived out in your own heart; you are with them every step of the way. Raw, deep, intriguing, emotionally charged, and God-honouring... this book will forever have a place in my heart (and on my shelf) ❤️

Nothing is Impossible

It is amazing the grace that God freely offers us. We doubt our worth and find it hard to believe anyone could truly love us and feel shame from our choices and even from crimes committed against us, just like the characters in this story. Just like this story, God's grace can save us and set us free from the past and transform our lives into His masterpieces. Nothing is impossible for God. Noone too far gone to be reached by His grace. Loved this book.

Wholesome

The story kept me hanging in there despite not connecting completely with Roman due to readers interpretation of his voice & character. I was expecting more fireworks & passion at the end but it was a very happy & wholesome ending.

Off putting narration but amazing story

So I found it really hard at first to listen to the narrator but because the story was so good I kept going. She had amazing accents for some characters but the main characters were so droll. Although I didn't like it at first it grew on me and I got used to it. loved the story!!
