This is a place where mountains are immense and the loch freezes in winter. A place with only one road in and out. With long storms and furious midges and a terrible phone signal. The police are compromised, the journalists are scum and the innocent folk of Cullrothes tangle themselves in a fermenting barrel of suspicion, malice and lies.
The Mash House uses multiple narratives to weave together the parallel lives of individuals in the village. Each fractured by the fears and uncertainty in their own minds.

Great story
This was the first time for this author, and happy to listen to more . Enjoyed the storyline twists and turns . Liked the characters, and there inaction between then. Narration very easy to listen to

Loved it.
This is a cleverly written story with unexpected twists and turns. The characters are interesting and make me want to learn more about them. Angus King's narration is his usual high standard. I recommend this book.

miss mash
This had good potential but was a mishmash rather than a mash house. The storyline was random and got to be irritating in the end.
