Publisher's Summary

Lady Willow Arlington, hauntingly lovely, is also blind and known by the ton as the dowry-less daughter. Alasdair Morley, the Marquess of Westcliffe, is in need of an heiress, but Lady Willow should be the last person he craves after she was persuaded to reject his offer of marriage when he was a mere third son. Passion reignites between them, and he makes an enticing offer she cannot resist, drawing them into a dance of lust and love despite the misgivings in his heart.

Love runs deep

I loved this story of a heroine who thought she didn’t deserve love due to her blindness. To have hero who was so upstanding that he reaches for the inner beauty and love. The unwavering connection and drive to show his love makes you root for them. The narrator kept me engaged. I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves second chances and Stacy Reid’s books. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Was an interesting idea

You already know she is sight impaired, but she is still the boldest debutante ever. I’ve read a lot of these and she knows an awful lot for an innocent.
The narrator made him sound like he had a cold. Something about her accent or pronunciation is a little off too, but I can’t quite say what it is. Too many words ending in a vowel sound when the word ends in a consonant? Maybe.
It’s a short story, so I endured it.

Lovely novella

It is lovely listening to someone who conveys the emotions the characters feel. Also enjoyed the overall story.

Beautiful story

Loved it. Such a beautiful story although it was a bit short. I couldn't stop listening, so I finished it in a morning. The narrator was ok, but, although Alasdairs voice was nice and deep, most of the time he sounded like a robot. But definitely worth a credit.
Now on to the next one of the series.

An empty story.

The narrator can't do male voices, so makes them all sound gruff. I pity her throat after a long session. However, she did well with such poor material.
The Heroine and Hero knew each other before, but were thwarted.
Now she is blind and dowryless, despite being the third son, the rejected suitor is now a penniless Lord.
Acting like some rampant sex fiend, she manages to compromise them.
Then plays "the shall I shan't I" game.
The story is well stretched and the secondary characters are as empty as the main.
