There are a few chapters you can skip but the relevant ones are valuable. This book isn't a cure-all, but it might help you identify some areas to improve, like it has for me.
Don't let the narration put you off - there's a lot of great content in here for new tech managers and I'm really glad it's in audiobook format because otherwise I'd have taken longer to read it. I found the easiest way to read was to have the speed set to 1.4-1.5x.
