What would you do if you thought each day on earth might just be your last?

Lucky by name. Not so lucky by nature.

Adopted twins Nora and Stevie Lucky have always been close, despite being total opposites.
When their mother dies, Nora convinces Stevie to search for their biological parents, only to come face-to-face with a life-changing revelation that sends them spiralling in opposite directions.

With their careers, love lives and even their sisterly bond at risk, they're going to need more than luck to survive.

RJ has done it again.

Rachael never ceases to amaze me with her writing genius. The Lucky Sisters is one of her best books yet. It’s right up there with The. Other Bridget.

Brilliantly Rachael

I loved the relationship between sisters Nora and Stevie and their families.
The book covers so many topics so well, death, dying, grief, adoption, infertility, relationships, expectations, afterlife, spirituality and so much more.
I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it as much as I went in thinking it was a romance - there is a lot of romance and it’s fun and interesting too. But so many topics as mentioned to think about, and of course think ‘what would I do? How would I react?’ Happy this book is our May book club read and looking forward to discussing it with book club members and Rachel herself!
The narrators were excellent too.

Fun and grief and family relationships done so well

Absolutely love Rachael Johns’ latest book, The Lucky Sisters. It’s a five star story that takes the reader to unthinkable places in a safe way. The characters are rich and they take us on a discovery of personal truths that we can relate to ourselves. The pacing is spot on and the sensitive themes are superbly handled! The evocative plot lines culminate in a curtain call so surprising it deserves a rapturous encore that is full of colourful butterflies just as the cover suggests! Love the audio voices too!! Best book ever!

Fabulous characters, evocative plot lines and surprises galore!

The Lucky Sisters pulled me in from the very first chapter. I really enjoyed the characters and the storyline — so many different events and emotions woven together beautifully. I found myself laughing, crying, and relating more than I expected.

The ending definitely left me wondering if there’s more to come…

A special mention to Lisa McCune — her narration was excellent and made the story feel even more real and engaging.

Well done Rachael 🦋
