However, I did enjoy seeing the characters giving each other new strengths and could identify with them across the book.
I enjoyed their journey to Margaret River, as I am a frequent visitor to the region, have spent most of my youth there being in the surfing fraternity in the 70's and 80's. I grew up in Perth and lived 46 years there. Funnily, the visit to Sydney was almost exactly the holiday we booked just before Covid first visited and we had to cancel. A good story, well written and perfectly narrated. A nice counselling session was sub-written underneath the entire story, In a good way, and it was romantic too. 5 stars.
A realistic romance, not a fantasy one.

I didn’t enjoy the narration as much, the voice had a slightly annoying pitch.
Certainly recommend for a relaxing and enjoyable reading
Light and enjoyable

The cancelled wedding and taking the honeymoon alone anyway reminded me of Honey and the Harvest Hob, (not on Audible) although the books aren't much alike in other ways.
Now that's out of my system... I enjoyed the bits set in Australia, and Annie's relationship with her friends and her sister (however she got to have one so young) and Patrick was a nice character. The book fell into three acts, which I found interesting too.
Fun!
