Publisher's Summary

Grabs you immediately and keeps you guessing right up until the surprise ending!

She thought they had the perfect marriage....

Tamra never dreamed she would marry someone like Mike Mitchell: handsome, rich, a wonderful husband...until she finds out that Mike is having an affair. But Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and Mike Mitchell should have remembered that before he made a fool of her. Because Tamra knows something about Mike. Something he did. Something evil. And she was prepared to carry the secret to her grave.

Not anymore.

To make matters worse, Mike's daughter Madison has come to visit for a few days, and Madison doesn't like Tamra. Well, that's too bad, because Tamra doesn't have time to argue. She's too busy ruining Mike's life while remaining, on the surface at least, the perfect, loyal wife.

But when Tamra's plan spirals out of control, she finds that things are not what they seem.

And now, it's too late.

Ending blew my mind!

What a great book! Finished listening in one day. I thought that I had it all figured out, boy was I wrong. Great job from the author and the narrator. Definitely worth the money. 😀😀😀

It fizzled out at the end

I'm not sure what to say about this book. There were lots of twists and turns and a lot of drama. By the end of the book, I wasn't sure if it was worth it. The plot fell apart at the end. It was as if the author changed the focus of the book from revenge to true love.

Okay story, frustrating narration.

The story itself was interesting, although not overly suspenseful or surprising. I personally found the narration - an inaccurate American accent - distracting though.

Narrator ruined this for me

The story was pretty good and had an unexpected twist at the end. I just could not get past the narrator’s intermittent inability to pronounce the letter R! It dwove me cwazy!

I liked it

I liked it. Not a mystery with a ton of gore. Easy to listen to.

very good book

I read the book first because I was reading a sample and couldn't stop. I love audible because I can re-read or re listen and see what I may have missed. I really enjoyed this book and the narrator is so good. the suprise twist was a little predictable so it wasn't a huge suprise. but other than that thia book was really good

Don’t Bother

Story was meh .. narration was horrible . I will never listen to another book with their narrator or author they should have gotten xe sands she is sooo much better hard to make out characters when she sounded the same for every single one . It was just , believe me and terrible skip it . Dry and predictable not good !

Dumb, rambles on and on

I made myself finish this book. It introduces chapters in numbers it never developed. It chances the story line so many times it is ridiculous trying to be surprising. All together it is ba and I wish I had my credit back.

pretty slow build up to no payout

i struggled to keep listening to this one. the main character was unlikable, annoying even. half way through i started rooting against her. i figured I'd i kept reading maybe the world be some explosive twist but it wasn't. it was a very drawn out sob story of the main character whining throughout. then when you get to the end, the climax is forgettable. like, really? that's how you end it? very unsatisfied ending

Main Character was Interesting At First

The Loyal Wife was somewhat of a disappointing psychological thriller overall, but I still think it was worth the listen. The voice of the main character was really interesting. She comes across as a ditzy, trashy, yet- 'don't mess with me' type of woman who's naïve to many things but street smart. I thought the narrator really did well- but the problem was, the cool voice and character didn't match the end of the book.

The ending sort of made the whole plot fall apart, and it was boring and non climactic.

Typical story- wife marries rich husband, husband is cheating, wife tries to find out information, etc. There are a couple twists as in the 'I know what you did last summer' theme.. but the end was just.. not good.

The narrator saved this one for me.
