About this listen

In The Lost Continent, when Cash Cassidy, a best-selling adventure author, jets off to Greece and leaves her husband behind, it's for a good reason: to research the myth of Atlantis for a new novel.

To help her begin researching the book, Cash's publisher rents her a place on the edge of the Aegean Sea, near where Atlantis is rumored to have disappeared thousands of years ago. When she meets up with Dr. Edgar Carlyle, an expert on Plato's writings on Atlantis, he dispels her belief that Atlantis was a peaceful, utopian society.

After visiting a Greek temple, Cash is particularly taken with the mythology. In a quest for deeper knowledge, Cash and Edgar head for a remote island that may hold more clues about Atlantis. When the weather turns into a perfect storm, the short boat tour becomes an odyssey from which they may never return - and may not even live to tell the tale.

Now unwitting visitors in a mysterious place from which it seems there is no escape, they soon learn that things are not always as they first appear. On the surface, the locals seem prosperous and content, but due to their presence, a dark undercurrent of civil unrest may come to a head.

When Cash bravely challenges the leader, will this mysterious and powerful man prove to be the key to the mystery of the lost continent, or will he be the cause of their demise?
