Story
How do you catch a killer, when you’re just a kid? Now 16 years old, Billy Wheatley has given up all thoughts of childish detective work in favor of his emerging scientific career. But when he manages to find evidence of a crime even out here, he can’t help but investigate. The only problem - in these shark-infested waters - he quickly bites off more than he can chew.

Publisher's Summary
At just 14 years old, Billy Wheatley has already solved two murders - well sort of. So it’s only natural he should open a detective agency on the windswept and lonely Lornea Island.
It’s less likely he should get an actual client - and a partner - but then both are a little crazy, in their own way.
Billy rapidly finds himself investigating the case of a man who disappeared 40 years ago in mysterious circumstances. And though it seems like ancient history, his erratic efforts disturb clues that were meant to be long-buried. And the people that buried them. At the same time, Billy’s own hidden past comes back to haunt him in a way he least expects.
Billy must use his unique combination of charm, youthful optimism, and scientific cunning to solve two mysteries before it’s too late. Because at least one of the people he thinks he can trust is out to kill him.
It’s just not the one he thinks it is.
The Lornea Island Detective Club is the sequel to The Things You Find in Rockpools, which was an Amazon best seller in the US, UK, Australia, and Canada in 2018. It sold over 100,000 copies and has over 2,000 international reviews with an average rating of 4.7 out of 5.

Two Mysteries for the Price of One
I am a Gregg Dunnett fan and had already read this book. When I found out it is now an audiobook, I jumped at the chance to “read” it again. This story has two big mysteries for the price of one. When I say “big”, I mean both mysteries have full play in this book and they both blew my mind. The performance was really good, amazing how one reader can play each character in their own unique way, give them all their own voice, tone, and impact. I really enjoyed this one.
