By the time you read this, I'll have killed one of your husbands.

In an isolated retreat, deep in the Northumberland moors, three women arrive for a weekend away.

This quiet place, far removed from the rest of the world, is exactly what they need to heal their wounds.

Their husbands will be joining them in the morning. Or so they think.

But upon arrival at Dark Fell Barn, the women find a devastating note claiming one of their husbands will be murdered. There are no phones and no ways of checking on their loved ones.

Friendships fracture as the situation spins wildly out of control. Betrayal can come in many forms.

This group has kept each other's secrets for far too long.

Possibly the worst narration I've heard. Apart from the fact the characters didn't have individual voices within the narrator's performance (they all sounded the same!), I found the speed was so fast that I felt that my ears were being assaulted. I subsequently had to listen to this book at .80 speed. Given there were only a handful of characters in this book, and taking into account that the chapters weren't identified as to who they were about, it would've been very beneficial to have had different narrators with different voices. On the bright side, the story was solid and it's such a shame that the narration really let it down.

Atrocious Narration
