I have enjoyed this book so much, the best enemies to lovers mafia story ever, it has angst, drama, revenge, and redemption. I am a huge fan of both Savannah and Stephen 💞💞

There was so much to this story. The hatred Wolfe had for Francesca and her family was so deep. It coloured everything between the two of them.

Francesca had such hopes for her future with another man and relied heavily on a family tradition that was manipulated by Wolfe.

In the end, there was so much miscommunication and misunderstanding that it tainted the story for me.

This was an enjoyable book, and I look forward to reading more works by LJ Shen.

I read on Kindle and read along on Audible with good audio.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this one, it wasn't really a love triangle kind of story. I would actually say it had more of a Beauty and the Beast feel to it.

Frankie could be very annoying through the book but she is only 19 and I think her actions in the book were true to her character and age. So while annoying at times it definitely fit into the story.

It was an enjoyable read.

I can’t imagine why anyone would give this book a bad review. L J Shen is such a beautiful, intelligent writer and this book is just another example of this. Another great read.

What a book. Wow I listened to this on my commute to and from work. I found myself sitting in the parking lot of work and my drive way at home just to listen to a few more minutes

great story ..it took me a long while to get use the the very dramatic female narrator..but over all it was good

I devoured this book. A beautiful story that was both mysterious and sweet. Great characters, and a great story. It made me feel right along with Wolfe and Francesca. I laughed and I cried, I especially loved the banter between the characters. I think listening to this book made the story even better as it made it more real, I loved the narrators chosen.

When I read the reviews, I thought it seems worth a read.
But totally disappointed, story was so predictable.
If your a fan of love stories, and don’t mind repetition when discussing how they are physically feeling, then this is the book for you. Narrators were good , story not.

I’ve liked all her books so far except this one, it was super predictable, the characters were bleh I feel it could’ve been executed better. Like this happened so conveniently it was not even believable. Things just happened to happen with no reasoning whatsoever

You are most likely to enjoy this story if you have no hopes or expectations. Quite literally.

With two provisions: that the narration is really quite good and that there is some unexpected crude sexual references alongside some tame and sweet references.
