I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It’s a great, gripping story; interesting characters and setting,; lovely narration. Probably my favourite book of the year!

Fantastically written characters, I was hooked just listening to the preview. I am not a writer so find it hard to put into words why I found this book so much better than others in the same genre. The writer of this book engages you straight away with the story of the suffragist, betrayal of friends and the struggles of the time period after the Great War. Interwoven with intrigue and an old murder mystery it was impossible to turn off.
Worth a read.

We suspected most of the people in the story as being the killer, the shadow or the mole.

Enjoyable mystery with likeable characters and historical events depicted well. Poppy is a very interesting character and it was fun getting to know her.
