The sequel maintains the core storyline introduced in the first book, continuing the characters’ journeys with consistency and intrigue. However, the narrative is weighed down by an overemphasis on explicit scenes, which often detract from the momentum of the plot. Core storyline remains interesting

I read this book in anticipation of learning what would happen after the end of the first book, but it sadly it fell short. Had a few interesting characters but the relationship between emery and Augustine/August was frustrating.

Loved book 1.
Then we came to book 2 which was so repetitive and frustrating. I started to suspect the Author had toeet a word count with this so they could drag us to the next book, but no thanks.
Such a shame as it had the potential to be a great story turned movie saga I would watch.

the story had me rolling my eyes. cliches and just problematic. also the narration was like listening to erotica read by news anchors.
