I must admit, it took me quite a few chapters to appreciate this story, but once I did, I couldn’t get enough of it. At first, the narration lulled me into sleep, but then the story ramped up and I became invested in the characters. I am very glad I gave the series a chance. My suggestion is to be patient with the story. It all pays off eventually and it is worth it. The only complaint I have is that the narration was sometimes confusing because the voices often did not change enough for me to know which character was talking at times. Otherwise, absolutely loved the entire series. I really wish there were more of these books.
