This thriller novel is different from other thriller novels . The ending was good and the FMC was all over the place but was kinda a good character.

Interesting concept, protagonist and characters. I alternated between being completely captivated and wanting to just get to the end - it was entertaining enough though.

I found the narrator’s voice incredibly annoying. Whiney tone was grating. Just too dramatic and child like. Very annoying main character

(No spoilers) The plot of this book hangs on the premise that whenever there is a sensible and logical way to behave the main character will do exactly the opposite. Therefore she gets deeper and deeper into trouble- exasperating everyone ( including the listener) along the way. I work in mental health and have never met a colleague as hapless as this woman. If there’s a wrong way to go, she will find it. The narrator plays this well with a whiny tone that made me need to switch off and regroup at times. Although there were plenty of people who could be forgiven for hating our main character ( including this listener) in the end my only motivation for staying with the book was to find out who dunnit.
