Publisher's Summary

What would you do if your husband framed you for murder?

Five years ago, Olivia Sutherland was convicted of plotting to murder her husband.

Now she’s finally free, Olivia has three goals. Repair her relationship with her daughter. Clear her name. And bring down her husband – the man who framed her.

Just how far is she willing to go to get what she wants? And how far will her husband go to stop her?

Because his lies run deeper than Olivia could ever have imagined – and this time it’s not her freedom that’s in jeopardy, but her life…

As 'The Guilty Couple' becomes a topic of conversation from New York to the UK, it’s clear this thrilling story of tangled family relationships is en route to winning awards and topping bestsellers charts. Its portrayal of divorce and the dark sides of domesticity is both riveting and award-worthy, solidifying its place among the great books of the year. For fans of Claire Douglas (The Woman Who Lied), Lisa Jewell (None of This is True), TM Logan (The Mother) and K.L. Slater (The Mother) and B.A. Paris (The Prisoner).

Critic Reviews

"An absolute belter of a novel. Cally is the absolute queen of the page-turner." (Elizabeth Haynes)

"Wow. Clever, taut, pacy and addictive with twist after unpredictable twist. I couldn’t stop turning the pages desperate to know the outcome. And what an ending! My favourite C. L. Taylor book yet!" (Claire Douglas, Sunday Times best-selling author)

"I loved The Guilty Couple so much I was up until 2am finishing it. Twisty, compelling with some real stand out characters, tense and fast-paced and thoroughly unputdownable." (Angela Marsons, multimillion-copy best-selling author)

Good plot, narration slip-ups distracting

Narrator used the wrong character's name 3 times and mispronounced common words. Good character voices, though!
