I didn't know what to expect from this story, but it was both funny and endearing and I started rooting for the little snake. Looking forward to the next book in this series and it's always a pleasure when a narrator does a great job like Peter did.

there are some parts of the story that drone in with self reflection but overall an engrossing story

It took me a bit to get into the audio book but the character development from a simple little snake to the much more accomplished little guardian is great fun. The time loop is much less world breaking than most and the logic of it all leaves real risk and interest to the magic of the world. A great read!
