Publisher's Summary

The first book in the delicious, icy-hot Campus Diaries series, a spinoff of BookTok sensations Off Campus and Briar U, by New York Times bestselling author Elle Kennedy.

Hockey's golden girl just made a deal with the bad boy . . .

Gigi Graham has exactly three goals: qualify for the women's national hockey team, win Olympic gold, and step out of her famous father's shadow. So far, so good, except for two little things. Fine - a little thing and a big, grumpy thing. She needs to improve her game behind the net, and she needs help from Luke Ryder.

Ryder is six-foot five, built, opinionated, rude . . . and sexy as hell. But he's still the enemy.

Briar's new hockey co-captain has his reasons, though. The men's team just merged with a rival program, leaving Ryder with an angry roster where everyone hates one another's guts. To make matters worse, the summer coaching spot he's angling for with the legendary Garrett Graham is out of reach after he makes the worst possible first impression on his hero. So, really, this compromise with Gigi is win-win. He helps her make the national team, she puts in a good word with her dad.

The only potential snag? This bone-deep, body-numbing, mind-spinning chemistry they're trying to ignore. It's a dangerous game they're playing, but the risks just might be worth it.

A missed opportunity

A well constructed and engrossing story of the realities and brutalities of elite sport and the mindset and attitudes of young people at their prime. The characters are drawn sympathetically and the conflicting emotions are beautifully moulded into a compelling story - all to be spoiled by a constant deluge of graphic and mostly unnecessary soft porn…. A missed opportunity by a talented writer

The Perfect Rom Com Book - LOVED IT

This book was engaging from the start. It had loveable characters from Gigi and Ryder, to the supporting characters. I didn't realise it was connected to the Off Campus Series that I had recently read, until the familar characters Garrett Graham's and Hannah Wells (as Gigi's parents) and her 'uncles and aunts' names were mentioned. It was perfect how Elle Kennedy interweaved the characters. There was great foreshadowing with suprises along the way which were wonderful additions to a great story. It can be read as a stand alone or a continum from the Off Campus Series (their characters daughter). As always CJ Bloom and Teddy Hamilton were incredible in their narration with the exception of Beckett's Aussie accent. As an Aussie I laughed at the attempt but saying that I couldn't stop listening.

great audio. great story.

I'm kinda offended by those Aussie accents but it doesn't make or break it.

Awesome story and great vocals… except for the Aussie accent 🤦‍♀️

Another awesome story from Elle Kennedy! I love the next generation from the Off-Campus series! I love the 2 vocals, especially Ryder’s deep voice 🥰As an Aussie however, I cringe with the Australian accent (sometimes sounds British, other times South African but definitely NOT Australian 🇦🇺 🤦‍♀️)

Second Generation Love!!!

In true Elle Kennedy fashion this does not disappoint!
You fall in love with all the new second gen characters but still get the glimpse into what the OG’s have been upto. It’s a must read

enjoyable

All I'm saying is that I'm going to be real sad if we don't get a Will and Beckett book.

Please!!!🙏🙏🙏

Otherwise, I enjoyed Ryder and Gigi's story. The marriage was a little out of left field for me, and I'll admit there were moments that my thoughts drifted, but otherwise the book did it's job and I was entertained. I'm usually wary of second generation stories, but I quote liked this one.

But yeah, I'm gunna need Beckett and Will, but please, for the love of everything, can we get an actual Aussie to narrate Beckett if they do get a book. Because while the narrators tried, it was just painful to hear.

Such a good book! Romantic, funny, so good

I love this book, it’s so good and great it ties back into the Off-Campus series.
It has good humour and wit. It is quite funny, and had me giggling and laughing out loud throughout the book.

Narrators were great, with the exception of the Australian accent which was not realistic and inconsistent.

Fantastic book, I really enjoyed it!!! But as an Aussie that accent was hard to listen too 😂.
