I can see why this worked well as a TV series, as a book it was downright boring, predictable and an odd portrayal of women in that industry. Great reader as usual, good portrayal of characters.

it’s fascinating how a book of such length can have no real plot, no mystery, no suspense, no action, just words, words and more words

A patronising portrayal of women, hard to believe the book is written by a woman, every female character is stereotypically flawed and all the male characters are either stupid, sexist or brutal. Definitely written with a screen play in mind and incredibly dull but well narrated.
