Summary

After the death of her brother at the hands of FBI Special Agent Nicholas Lee, Selena Aponté's ascent to the throne of a notorious drug cartel leaves behind a trail of carnage—entire families massacred in cars, bullet-riddled bodies left in the street to rot, severed heads displayed on lampposts, and mangled human remains from the work of her pet tigers.

To Selena, a.k.a. "La Perra" (the bitch), the cartel created by her grandfather was her birthright, but she soon learned that she had to be more ruthless and vile than her competitors to be respected on their level, and this would start with her mission to kill the agent who killed her brother.

When the team of assassins failed to kill Special Agent Nicholas Lee, she sent a second squad out to complete the unfinished business. Once again, the hired guns failed, but Nick was wounded. As he healed, he vowed revenge on the woman who killed his wife and daughter and tried twice to kill him.

But Nick's mentors, Sam Curry and Leviticus Nighthawk, knew that his quest presented a more significant opportunity, so they urged him forward with this mantra.

Before you kill her, take down her empire.

But he could not go after her as Nicholas Lee. This odyssey would require him to go undercover to infiltrate the Aponté cartel, and Leviticus and Sam—with the help of a mystical master of disguise—created a new persona. He would no longer be Nicholas Lee.

He would become an international seeker and purveyor of goods and services for the ultra-powerful. With a single name: Cheveyo.
