Publisher's Summary

In this funny and frothy novella that picks up where the New York Times best-selling The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue leaves off, freshly minted couple Monty and Percy fumble through their first time together.

Monty’s epic grand tour may be over, but now that he and Percy are finally a couple, he realizes there is something more nerve-wracking than being chased across Europe: getting together with the person you love.

Will the romantic allure of Santorini make his first time with Percy magical, or will all the anticipation and build-up completely spoil the mood?

Patience is a virtue…

Never has an email excited me quite as much as finding out that all my months of waiting for the next adventures (pray they never end) of these three was finally here! Albeit somewhat shorter to my liking, Christian Coulson has forever ruined audiobooks for me! Thankfully, these months were not in vain! and my thanks to Mackenzi Lee always.

Amazing performance as always with CC

As with the first book Christian Coulson performance is on point. I love how he reads those characters so well. And I love the story too of course 😊

So much love for Monty and Percy!

I would seriously listen to anything having to do with Monty and Percy, the length of the story would make no difference, I love them that much! This was short but oh so sweet! It left me wanting more, more, more- I'm pretty sure I'd think that no matter what. They are just the cutest boys and I adore them! This story had me laughing out loud, but then getting all up in my feels a minute later. Monty was so unsure of himself, it was adorable and frustrating all at once.
Christian Coulson narration is perfection. I'm pretty sure I said that when I reviewed TGGtV&V, but it's true. He does such a fantastic job bringing Monty, and Percy, and all the other characters, to life. It's such a wonderful experience listening to his performance.

Cute, but short

I have to be honest, I somehow missed this was a novella before I bought it... Oops
It is a cute story, and a fun 2 hour listen... But is it $14 worth of cute? Not sure it's worth that much over another regular length novel.

Over and over!

This is the first review I have ever written, but I could not move on without saying how wonderful this book by Mackenzi Lee is. I have enjoyed the series up to this point, but the Guide to Getting Lucky was perfect. I do not want to include any spoilers. I will simply say that the descriptive language that Lee uses in this novella is beautiful. I listened to Christian Coulson (who is the perfect Monty) read certain parts over and over. Love this book. Love this love.

It was the best it could be

I think she did an awesome job giving us a little more closure from the first book. I can’t help but feel this addiction was missing some of the charm of the first book that’s why I’m giving it a 4 star review. All in all it was worth the purchase.

Fun

A fun edition to the series. You're going to be screeching with laughter by the end. It was sweet. Percy is boyfriend goals. There's not much to this story. It's not complicated.

My favorite line was, "where you start isn't where you have to end". Which is about Monty trying to be a better person.

I enjoyed diving back into the world of these characters. I wish the book had been longer.

Waited forever for this

when I saw there would be a follow up story for Percy and Monty I was over the moon, and of course the writing is great and hilarious but it was soooooo short. Too short. Like why even bother? It also had a very unsatisfying ending. This feels like a preview to a book and I feel like I wasted a credit.

An excellent romp!

The most hilarious book I’ve read or listened to in years. Seriously by the end of it I was laughing so hard I was wheezing!

Even though it’s only a two hour novella I enjoyed it so much I completely think it was worth a credit.

The perfect little follow on from The gentleman’s guide to vice and virtue, the one problem with it being it just makes you want more Monty and Percy. I almost wish it was a collection of short stories from their life together, but we can live in eternal hope.

The audio performance is perfect and definitely enhances to the book.

Would recommend completely to anyone who has read the first book in the series and has developed a bit of a soft spot for Monty and Percy. Or anyone who has two empty hours on their hands and fancies laughing until they wet themselves.
